Take advantage of every opportunity to learn while supervised because you never know what your unsupervised professional future may require.

If you foster a healthy life outside of radiology you will also thrive at work.

Be kind and respectful to everybody, especially at 2 AM while on call.

Learn from your mistakes.

Engage with the broader Radiology community in some way that brings you joy (social media, ACR meetings, etc.).

Mentor a medical student interested radiology.

Reach out when you need help.

Develop long-standing friendships with your co-residents, administrative staff, and faculty.

Prepare consistently to succeed on radiology board exams (and life).

Realize as early as possible that time is your most precious commodity and live accordingly.

Take advantage of every opportunity to learn.

Learn from the best books and resources.

Foster healthy relationships and activities outside of radiology.
